Jabez called out to the God of Israel, “If only You would greatly bless me and expand my territory! May Your hand be with me! Keep me from harm so I might not endure pain!” God answered his prayer.

1 Chronicles 4:10

• Jabez stresses the truth that God blesses those who faithfully call upon Him.
• The Bible says, He was more honourable than his brethren.
• God’s divine blessing and protection do not come automatically.
• They occur as the result of our commitment to God and His cause on earth.
• They occur as a result of our prayers with sincere, true faith.
• Our prayer can only be effective if it is made according to the perfect will of God. 1 Jn.5:14
• Not only must we pray according to God’s will, but we must be in God’s will if we expect Him to hear and answer us. Matt. 6:33

PRAYER: Lord, may I desire a life that prospers with your fullness. I call upon You, Lord, please grant me deliverance from physical and spiritual destruction, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
